08/22/2010 - Kansas City, MO (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Jason Kendall singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning, and Kansas City beat the Chicago White Sox, 3-2, in the rubber match of a three-game series at Kauffman Stadium.

Gregor Blanco drew a two-out walk in the 10th off Chicago reliever Scott Linebrink (1-1) and swiped second and third before scoring on Kendall's base hit to left field.

The Royals and White Sox split a pair of extra-inning games on Saturday after Friday's opener was rained out.

Kendall added an RBI double for Kansas City, which has won nine of its last 13 games at home. Royals starting pitcher Zack Greinke gave up two runs on nine hits and struck out nine over eight innings. Sean O'Sullivan (2-4) worked a scoreless 10th to pick up his first win as a Royal.

A.J. Pierzynski had two hits and knocked in a run for the White Sox, who have dropped six of eight. John Danks allowed two runs on five hits and walked three in six full frames.

Chicago is 4 1/2 games back of first-place Minnesota in the American League Central. The Twins host the Angels on Sunday night.

Pierzynski doubled home Carlos Quentin to give the White Sox a 1-0 lead in the top of the second.

Wilson Betemit quickly tied the game with a home run in the bottom of the inning and the Royals moved ahead in the third, as Chris Getz led off with a walk, stole second and came home on Kendall's soft liner to left.

Chicago pulled even in the fourth on a run-scoring single by Paul Konerko.

MySportsbook.com Posts Heisman Trophy Odds

With 3,919 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and a mere seven interceptions last season, combined with a powerful South Bend Heisman legacy, odds makers at MySportsbook.com have given Notre Dame senior quarterback Brady Quinn the best Heisman Trophy odds at 5-2.

Quinn isn’t the only big man on campus this season.  Oklahoma junior running back and 2004 Heisman runner-up Adrian Peterson, listed at 7-2, rushed for a combined 3,033 yards in his first two years as a college player and will give Quinn a run for his money.

This online sportsbook has also listed Troy Smith, Ohio State senior quarterback, as another strong favorite to win the 72nd Heisman Trophy.  A 7-1 bet, Smith threw for 2,282 yards last season and also led the Buckeyes to a convincing 34-20 victory over Quinn and the Fighting Irish in last season’s Fiesta Bowl.
